A guide from the Maryland Department of Planning: Smart, Green & Growing is our long-range, multi-agency initiative focused on protecting Maryland’s precious, yet limited, air, water and land resources in every region of our State, so our families and children will someday be able share these natural treasures with their own kids in the same way that our parents and grandparents shared them with us.
