Farmer Tom's

Farmer Tom's farm is a preserved, working farm located just ten miles from Baltimore.  Tom Reynolds has diversification down pat!  He raises turkeys, tomatoes, corn, and has horses, a retail shop, and coming on line soon a solar powered barn that will raise both fish and lettuce in a closed loop system.  Check out their website!

Bands

The afternoon will feature a spectacular music lineup including:

 Hoots & Hellmouth

Hoots & Hellmouth

“A savory stew of roots, rock and soul, served with love. And hot sauce. Lots of hot sauce.”

Philadelphia’s Hoot & Hellmouth blend the twisted roots of American music in a fierce and fiery alchemy. Soulful three-part harmonies comingle with stringed things and foot stomps to build a synergy that bursts with aural aplomb. It’s city and country. It’s rock and it’s soul. It’s bleeding, sweating, crying, rejoicing…it’s alive!  Take a listen!

Arty Hill and the Long Gone Daddy’s

Arty Hill & the Long Gone Daddy's

“He sings with an "'everyman' quality…reminiscent of Johnny Cash.”

From Baltimore, MD to Central Texas, Arty Hill packs  bars and dance floors with his unique brand of Modern Honky Tonk.  His songs - marrying the soul of classic country with the wry storytelling of Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt - have been recorded by Rockabilly Queen Bee Marti Brom, Austin’s Texas Sapphires, the Grammy-nominated Kenny and Amanda Smith Band, and award-winning Alt-Country pioneers Jason & the Scorchers. Take a listen!

 Caleb Stine

Caleb Stine

“His music and sincerity are so intertwined that it’s difficult to imagine one without the other.”

Caleb Stine is a local favorite. His shows feature an electric blend of American Roots music that The New Yorker dubbed 'appropriately train like—steady and powerful.' 'I Wasn't Built For A Life Like This', Stine's latest release has been called “easily the best self-released record this year," by Twangville.com as well as "a great display of songwriting and, perhaps just as importantly, album making.”

Stine is currently playing the role of Cisco Houston in Michael Patrick Flanagan Smith's play 'Woody Guthrie Dreams' which runs through September at Theater For The New City, in New York City.  Farm Fest will be Caleb’s big return to Baltimore – and the fans that adore him.  Take a listen!

 Smooth Kentucky

Smooth Kentucky

“Smooth Kentucky’s sound is a trip through the spirit of American music.”

This Baltimore-based bluegrass band weaves silky smooth vocals with acoustic blues, rock, bluegrass and traditional music that should not be missed!

Smooth Kentucky got their start as a bluegrass group,  While there is a definite bluegrass soul to what they do, their music is influenced by something other than just old-time mountain music. You may catch a Bill Monroe tune,  or just as likely to hear Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, or Gordon Lightfoot.. Take a listen!
